James Jett
The fastest player in college football during the 1992 season played for the Mountaineers. Who was he?

There's speed, and then there's world class speed. A wide receiver and kick returner, Jefferson High's James Jett finished as runner-up in both the 100 and 200 meter sprints at the 1992 NCAA Track & Field Championships, earning him the 'unofficial' title as the fastest man in college football. A gold medalist as a member of the 4 x 100 relay team at the 1992 Olympics, Jett was an undrafted free agent after finishing his football career at West Virginia. As a member of the Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, Jett played nine seasons in the NFL, winning the title of 'The NFL's Fastest Man' in 1996.
James Jett was elected to the WVU Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.
