As fans of West Virginia University sports,
We Love Mountaineer Football.
And this is a fan site dedicated to just that.

Whether you grew up in West Virginia, or came to school in Morgantown from another state, you are more than likely now a Mountaineer fan for life. And like most of us, you follow the Old Gold and Blue wherever you may be.

Mountaineer football has been played since 1891, and for more than 100 years WVU football has been a source of excitement and pride for those who follow the program. I trace my own experience with West Virginia football back to the 1975 Pitt game. Just nine years old at the time, I remember watching the game at home in Keyser. And though I never made it to a game at Old Mountaineer Field, I was hooked for good after my first trip to Morgantown for a game- the rainy
26-0 blasting of Syracuse in 1982. I'll also never forget my freshman year of 1984, with big wins over Boston College and then Penn State on successive weekends, and of course my grad school year of 1988- the first 11-0 perfect regular season in school history.

Again, this is a fan site. It's meant to be informational as well as entertaining for all who have an interest in the Mountaineers. News, team history, links to the latest merchandise, ticket sources and more- all from this site. For students, alumni, past and present West Virginians, and fans of college football- there's something here for everyone.
